Donielle belle Owen
Co-Founder &Executive Director
With years of experience serving the community and changing lives, Donielle continues her dedication and commitment to making a difference in the lives of youth and young adults. She has worked with organizations including the Georgia Alliance for the Empowerment of Homeless Youth as well as Bagley Youth, Covenant House of Georgia, and Three Rivers Area Labor Management Committee. In addition to being the Executive Director with The Youth Project, Donielle is also an Adjunct Professor at the Community College of Allegheny County and a former Substitute Teacher for Cheswick Christian Academy. Her educational studies include a Master’s degree in Human Resources and Organizational Leadership at Robert Morris University, Graduate Certificate in Project Management from Cornell University, Certificate in Employment and Labor Relations at Penn State University, Certificate in Construction Management from Ashworth College, Bachelors in Human Resources at Geneva College, and undergraduate studies in Community and Economic Development from Beulah University in Atlanta.
Donielle is a former Board of Director for the Penn Hills School District. She is also a former board member for the Fulton County Juvenile Court Community Restorative Board. During her years with the board, she worked to repair the harm committed against victims and neighborhoods by young people who have broken the law.
As a resident coordinator for the Covenant House of Georgia, Donielle provided case management to homeless youth which included housing assistance, GED prep, job search assistance, counseling and a host of other services.
